As part of the infrastructural work for the expansion of the Algiers Metro – Line 1, STM has successfully joined the project and celebrates the new milestone regarding the 1.38 km of excavation of the TBM Kahina.
The M28 site has completed the connection between the Centre des Affaires station and the Aéroport International d’Alger station – total lenght 4.48km. The final 1.38km tunnel is the longest of the 9.6km El-Harrach – Aeroport section which includes 9 stations. The general extension works are expected to be completed by the 2026.
STM supplied an important handling system, including a 30mt borflex conveyor, for the muck collection generated from TBM excavation, proving once again to be a reliable partner and a constant presence alongside its customers.
